The snow is now up to 41" on the measurement stick at Chimney Pond.
New snow this morning will increase this total.  All good.  Basin Pond is holding 12" of ice.  The Chimney Pond Trail has been broken out for snowsled traffic but snow levels are still marginal for good trail conditions.  About 12" of snow is on the ground at Roaring Brook and skiing should now be fair to good on the Roaring Brook Road and access trails into the Park from Abol Bridge.  Cross country skiing in the Togue Pond area is good.  Skiiers should expect to meet snowmobile traffic on the Park Tote Road.  The Logan Pond road was groomed for snowmobile traffic last night for the first time this year.
Trail conditions into South Branch Pond from Matagamon are fair with a soft snow cover over an icy base.  The trail from South Branch to Russell has about 6-7" of snow and is fair to poor with bony stretches.  Around 8" of ice covers South Branch Pond and trail access onto and off the pond is slushy.
Recent parties have broken out the trail from Russell Pond to Roaring Brook and from Abol Bridge to Foss Knowlton Pond.
